Whether you call it a base, a home or a shelter, creating a place where you can store stuff and stay safe from your enemies is essential in any game of Minecraft. But what can you do to make sure your base is the best? Here are our tips!
PLANNING
Don’t just start your base anywhere – make sure it’s somewhere with room to expand and resources close by. Deserts might seem like bad places to start because there’s so little wood around – but dense forests are worse, because lots of mobs spawn in the darkness and it takes ages to clear space to build. In fact, deserts have very few places for mobs to hide, which makes it easy to see them approaching and/or lure them towards traps, so as long as you can get a source of wood organised things will be really good for you once you’re established.
