Whenever you start a new game of Survival Mode, the chances are you’ll be dropped into a fairly familiar biome filled with trees, fields, and usually a decent amount of resources close by. However, that’s not always the case, and finding yourself in some tough terrain early in the game can be quite a challenge, from the game’s sparse snowy mountains to its vast barren deserts.
Of course, the quick fix is just to fire up a new game world and hope for something a little more welcoming, but that’s not to say these are places to avoid. Indeed, if you’re willing to brave some of these trickier and less bountiful biomes there are some great rewards to be found!
RARE RESOURCES
The common problems with these locations typically comes down to their shortage of everyday resources, such as trees you can farm for wood, along with plentiful food or water supplies. Experienced players will know a fewpool to generate a self-replenishing supply. However, it can certainly pay to help load up your inventory before exploring within such biomes.
