RESTAURANTS

AL PESCATORE | Ballito, KZN

It might be the oldest restaurant in Ballito, but that certainly doesn’t mean its stuck in a rut. The owner designs new chef’s specials every day and with the unbeatable view over Clark Bay, its easy to see why Al Pescatore has been a firm favourite among locals and visitors alike.

The food is based on Mediterranean/Italian cooking, but a few local favourites can also be found on the rather extensive menu. First choice should be the seafood platter consisting of a selection expertly prepared fresh fish and seafood. If you happen to be dining with friends, a good option would be to order a selection of gourmet pizzas to share. The Cajun chicken, and Thai prawns and calamari are absolutely divine. Carnivores will love the fillet with marsala and if you are vegetarian, there are many superb offerings on the menu. Service is slick and the waiting staff are knowledgeable and attentive.

14 Edward Place, Ballito.

Open from Monday to Sunday from 11h30 to 21h00.
