CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR

I was interested to see your inclusion of the Eva Track T-800CDI as ‘the one that could have been’ in your article ‘Best Adventure Bikes of the 21st Century’. Interested because I nearly bought one of these quirky bikes. I was attracted to the long range, the use of the Smart Car motor and the shaft drive. Unfortunately, by the time I had organised myself to get down to Dorset to make arrangements with the UK importer, the project collapsed. Maybe it was the best bike that never was.

Also, in your ‘New’ section you cover the launch of the Honda NT1100, a bike I have been awaiting eagerly since rumours began to emerge in December 2020. At last, a worthy successor to the Pan European! But, what’s this? CHAIN DRIVE!! Sorry Mr Honda, as far as I am concerned no shaft means no sale!
