Well Honed

I recently had the privilege of catching up with Mick Hone and grabbing a limited-edition alloy billet plaque he had specially made to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Suzuki Katana. But almost just as significant as the Katana anniversary, is the fact that Mick was selling them 40 years ago from where he still sells bikes today.

Mick is an institution in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and one of the few places where you can still go and get parts for your bike with customer service and real knowledge – the same applies for getting your bike fixed there, and you’ll probably get served by the man himself…

He’s even got really old issues of AMCN lying around if you want to read about what was happening in the bike world in the ’80s.
