Revving the motorbike, a huge grin spread across my son’s face.
Ever since Ewan could walk, he absolutely loved cars and bikes.
From a very early age, he started taking part in motocross.
Taking him down to the local track, he just loved it.
As a family, we were all very close and I felt so lucky.
Ewan and his sister Libby, now 14, bickered like all siblings, but secretly they adored each other.
Life was good.
Despite my initial protests, Ewan began competing in motocross when he was just 12.
I couldn’t deny how good he was.
Not that he let me come and watch very often!
‘You make me nervous,’ he would say.
So, most weekends, he would go off with the
