You will need
• Dark and medium fabrics (eight-pointed Stars) – Approx. 3½yds in total (forty-eight (48) 2½in x WOF strips or equivalent)*
• Dark and medium fabrics (dark corner triangles) – Approx. 1⅓yds OR one-hundred-and-nine (109) charm squares, eleven (11) fat eighths or six (6) fat quarters
• Background fabric – 3¾yds
• Sashing – 1½yds
• Cornerstones – ¼yd
• Backing – 6yds
• Binding – ¾yd
• Batting – 96in x 108in
Finished size
■ Quilt: Approx. 74½in x 89½in
■ Finished block: 9½in x 9½in
Notes
■ Use a ¼in seam allowance throughout.
■ Press seams in the direction indicated in the instructions.
■ RS = right side(s).
■ WS = wrong side(s).
■ RH = right hand.
■ LH = left hand.
■ WOF = width of fabric.
■ WOFQ = width of fat quarter from selvedge to cut edge, approx. 21in.
■ FQ = fat quarter.
■ Fabrics are 44in wide.
■ Press all fabrics well before cutting.
■ *A selection of approx. fourteen (14) fat quarters or approx. sixteen (16) long quarters is a good place to start for this quilt. Jelly roll strips can also be used but you will need a little more than one (1) jelly roll. As this is a scrappy quilt, the fabric requirements for the stars are a guide only, but you will be able to cut ten (10) diamonds from a WOF/jelly roll strip
