Covid-19 has made us all far more aware of how much we need to get outside, and also how important getting enough vitamin D is to our general wellbeing. Besides anything else, it just feels so good to feel the sun on your face again, doesn’t it? To feel that lovely salty tightness on your skin after a day spent swimming in the sea and drying off in the sun… it’s a sensation we all associate with holidays and relaxation.
It’s tempting just to get out there and soak it all up, but there is absolutely no doubt that too much sun is linked to skin cancer, premature ageing and a whole lot of other things best avoided.
There are two main factors to bear in mind when it comes to sun: time and exposure.
