PORK FILLET ROLL WITH BACON AND CHEESE SAUSAGES

Just roll with it

This dish is really fun to make, and presenting it sliced on a platter will give it an even more festive look.

Ingredients

(serves 8-10 as a starter with other snacks)

3 pork fillets of about 600 g each
400 g streaky bacon
2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
6 thin cheese grillers
2 tablespoons braai sauce (we used The Cooksister Sweet Paprika marinade)

Here’s how

1 Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the pork fillets one by one without cutting them all the way through. Butterfly the meat and use a meat tenderizer to knock the fillet a bit to get the same thickness throughout – it will probably still have a slight triangular shape. Place the three rectangles together so they form one large rectangle.
