Few kitchens would be without coffee in some form. Whether it’s beans, grounds or instant, we love our coffee. And although it’s great to drink, it also makes an excellent cooking ingredient.
One good example is the classic Italian dessert tiramisu, which translates as “pick me up”. With its combination of coffee, liqueur, mascarpone and sponge, it certainly lives up to its name.
