Rosehip spread
This nutrient-dense spread falls somewhere between cranberry and sour cherry jam on the taste spectrum. Smear a tablespoon on buckwheat pancakes, or dot over soaked oats for a healthy breakfast treat. Perfect to eat directly off a teaspoon too! Dress organic probiotic yoghurt with some rosehip goodness.
NOTE: it’s important to partially grind and then sieve dried rosehips for this- rose-hips-rosa-canina. (You don’t have to do this for infusions, as the whole rosehips aren’t ingested.) Also note: choose Ceylon cinnamon if you can get it. Most cinnamon you can buy is cassia , which has high levels of coumarin in it, which is not so good for us. Adults should not eat more than one teaspoon a day, and children less.
