01 Headband and infinity scarf

Size:

Headband: Approx 10 cm wide and 50 cm all round head

Loop: Approx 18 cm wide and 120 cm all round

Material:

Rico Super 100.

Content: 100% virgin wool.

50 g = 170 m.

Headband:

1 ball - col 017 Ivy

Scarf: 2 balls - col 017 Ivy

Needles:

Size 3½ and 4 mm

Cable needle

Stitch markers

Tension:

21 sts and 29 rows to 10 cm, over stocking stitch on 4 mm needles.

Check your tension - if less stitches use thinner needles, if more use thicker needles.

Abbreviations:

C6B: slip next 3 sts onto cn and leave at back of work, k3, then k3 from cn

C6F: slip next 3 sts onto cn and leave at front of work, k3, then k3 from cn

Headband

Using 4 mm needles and thumb method cast on 26 sts.

Work in patt as follows:

1st row (RS). K6, p1, k12, p1, k6.

2nd row. K7, p12, k7.

3rd row. K6, p1, C6B, C6F, p1, k6.

4th row. As 2nd row.

5th and 6th rows. As 1st and 2nd rows.

These 6 rows form patt. Cont in patt until work measures approx 50 cm, ending after 6th patt row and with a WS row.

Cast off.

Finishing

Join cast-on and cast-off ends to form a loop.

Pin out headband to the measurements given.

Infinity scarf

Using 4 mm needles and thumb method cast on 42 sts.

Work in patt as follows:

1st row (RS). K14, p1, k12, p1, k14.

2nd row. K15, p12, k15.

3rd row. K14, p1, C6B, C6F, p1, k14.

4th row. As 2nd row.

5th and 6th rows. As 1st and 2nd rows.

These 6 rows form patt.

Cont in patt until work measures approx 120 cm, ending after 6th patt row and with a ws row.

Cast off.

Finishing

Join cast-on and cast-off ends to form a loop.

02 Striped mohair scarf

Size: Approx. 200 cm long x 50 cm wide

Material:

Katia, 50 Mohair Shades.

Content: 67% superkid mohair, 30% polyamide, 3% wool.

20 g = 200 m.

1 ball - col 21 lime

1 ball - col 22 pistachio

1 ball - col 23 mint

1 ball - col 24 petrol blue

1 ball - col 25 military

Needles: Size 4½ mm

Tension: Using the size 4½ mm needles in garter st: 22 sts & 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Using pistachio cast on 110 sts.

Work in garter st following the measurements and colours on the pattern.

When scarf measures 200 cm, measuring from the start, bind (cast off) all the sts.

Materials:

Novita Nalle.

Content: 75% wool, 25% polyamide. 100 g = 260 m.

1 (1) ball - col 061 Linen

1 (1) ball - col 160 Jeans

1 (1) ball - col 533 Pomegranate Novita Nordic Wool.

Content: 100% wool.

50 g = 115 m.

1 (1) ball - col 397 Spruce

Needles: Double-pointed needles size 3 mm

Tension: 25 sts in stockinette st or colourwork = 10 cm.

Stitch patterns:

Twisted ribbing in the round: *k1 through back loop, p1*, repeat *-*.

Stockinette stitch in the round: knit all rows.

Colourwork in the round: work stockinette st following the chart and instructions.

Using Linen cast on 60 (70) sts and divide them to four needles: 15+15+15+15 sts (17+18+18+17 sts). The beginning of round is between needles IV and I.

Work twisted ribbing in the round for 6 cm, then knit 1 round.

Begin the colourwork pattern on row 1 of chart I (II). Repeat the 15 (14) st pattern 4 (5) times. Work rows 2-38 of the chart, then repeat rows 35-38. Make sure to loosen the floats as you work to avoid a too tight fabric.

Begin the heel flap: using Linen knit the sts on needle I onto needle IV and decrease 2 sts = 28 (32) sts. Leave the other sts on hold. Turn work and begin reinforced stitch pattern using Linen:

Row 1: (WS) slip 1 with yarn in back, purl to end. Turn work.

Row 2: (RS) *slip 1 with yarn in back, k1*, repeat *-* to end. Turn work.

Work these two rows 14 (15) times in total = 28 (30) rows. Work the WS row once more and begin continue the reinforced pattern as established. Work until 10 (11) sts remain at the left end. Skp (= slip 1 knitwise, k1, pass slipped st over), turn work. Slip 1, p8 (10), p2tog, turn work. Slip 1, work to last 9 (10) sts, skp. Continue in this manner, decreasing at
