    st.  - stitch

    sts  - stitches

    K  - knit

    P  - purl

    st.st  - stocking stitch (knit one row, purl one row)

    NR  - next row

    K2tog  - Knit 2 stitches together

    P2tog  - Purl 2 stitches together

    Inc.1st - Increase one stitch (by knitting or purling into the front of the stitch and then again into the back of the stitch, creating 2sts for the price of one!

    TIPS

    **Keep a pen and paper ready to note down the rows you’ve knitted, or use a row counter on the end of your needles. Either way works, as long as you remember to mark it down - or count the rows you’ve knitted
