    I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from classic motorcycle and scooter enthusiast, Brian Gould, who told me he’d just acquired a shiny Triumph Tigress 250 twin scooter from someone in deepest Norfolk. My ears pricked up straight away and the memories came flooding back.

    Back in the days of cider-fuelled evenings, I remember sitting on the Weston-super-Mare promenade at the annual scooter rally, along with club members from deepest Lincolnshire. And hearing from Brian, I was suddenly taken back to a ride I took across to Leicester and down the Fosse Way
