EDITOR’S NOTE
Hi again. How have you been going over the past three months? I know, very trying times in so many ways. There is so much uncertainty and change happening, it is very difficult to keep focussed and grounded sometimes – there are so many distractions! What I try to do is just. Have you ever thought, with respect to the circumstances we currently find ourselves in with this pandemic, about hardships that other people have gone through before us ... other generations? If you have, and this idea speaks to you, I would strongly recommend this book. Bought together by an organisation called Future Women, it shares the stories of 19 ordinary and yet truly remarkable women, how they found courage during times of sometimes extreme deprivation and devastation, and how they endured and survived poverty, famine, war, violence and discrimination. Perhaps, like me, you will find some hope from reading these stories of women who have gone before us, maybe some comfort, and their stories may even give you more faith in the future. Similarly, it is wonderful to be able to share some more images from Matthew Johnstone in this magazine, from . I truly love bringing more imagery into this magazine. I really feel, and hope you agree, that images truly do speak a 1000 words. And all of the arts are just so important for us to participate in if possible, but also to enjoy and support. I hope you also enjoy the art of Pride Nyasha in this magazine, and of course get lots of value from all of the articles.
