Want to lose weight? Try to steer clear of processed foods. Scientists have found that eating highly processed foods can that there is a link between ultra-processed foods and obesity. In a two-week study published in the journal , volunteers were split into two separate groups. One group ate processed foods while the other ate unprocessed foods. Both groups ate three meals per day. The volunteers on the ultra-processed diet ate an average of 508 calories more daily and put on an average of 2lbs during this time.
