1 Activate your senses
hen you curl up with a book or make some chai, try to slow down and enjoy the exercise. Suzy Reading, a chartered psychologist based in the United Kingdom and author says, “The simplest way to build the mindfulness muscle is by using our senses. Be on the lookout for a scent you are familiar with, and love. As you do this, try and activate your other senses of sight, touch, taste, and notice how this changes your mood. The more you do this, the more mindful you become and the upward spiral of positivity grows.”
