When Nothing Goes to Plan

It is all well and good preparing for the perfect day, but your result probably has more to do with how you deal with situations that you had not predicted or planned for rather than ones that you have.

Before we think about what to do when the proverbial hits the fan, let’s think about when we start a race and the non-negotiable commitment to finish.

I can guarantee, or almost guarantee, that for everyone out there that when you stand on the start line of an event or are about to face any significant challenge, you will be beset with self-limiting beliefs about not being either good enough, or fast enough, or prepared enough.

It could be anything, but for most of us, we will encounter that stinking thinking before the gun goes off.

If we all listened to those negative cognitions, we would struggle to ever finish any event.
