Trump Praises Attorney General Barr For 'Taking Charge' Of Roger Stone Case

The president's tweet came a day after the Justice Department took the unusual step of seeking a shorter sentence for the president's ally. Four prosecutors in the case withdrew following that move.
"Congratulations to Attorney General Bill Barr for taking charge of a case that was totally out of control and perhaps should not have even been brought," President Trump said on Twitter on Wednesday.

President Trump hailed Attorney General William Barr on Wednesday after the Justice Department took the unusual step of intervening in Roger Stone's sentencing recommendation.

Four federal prosecutors withdrew from the case.
