Choosing Wool for your Project

Do you gaze longingly at the myriad of wools, colours and plies stacked up in your local wool shop – imagining the projects you could make, and then come down to earth with a bump when you spot the exact right pattern which specifies a yarn that isn’t on your wish list, your favourite colour or even in the shop?

Often people get interested in knitting as they see the huge range of yarns that are available to work with, and fall in love with fibre.

If you are new to knitting, take your time to choose the right yarn at a medium price. Don’t buy the most expensive yarn in the shop for your first project: Conversely, don’t buy the cheapest yarn even if the colour is your favourite, as you will be disappointed in the result. So consider your skill level when choosing your yarn and keep it simple.
