About this series

Till a mating link do us part. That was rule number 1 of the arrangement I struck up with my Alpha a few weeks after he arrived in Beaver Creek to solve a pack murder. Liam Kolane and I would have exclusive fun until my wolf clicked with its true mate or until I found a male keen on long-term, since Liam had zero interest in forever. Well, he and I crashed and burned long before another male came along, because I broke our one and only other commandment: I got attached. And not only to my scarred and aloof Alpha but also to his sweet nine-month-old son. The problem with breaking up with your Alpha? You remain his shifter, so you’re stuck seeing him every day. Another problem . . . some deviants presume he likes you enough to save you. Good thing I have four older brothers who taught me to save myself.

The primal rule of winning: don't fall in love with the contender. Three months shy of her 18th birthday, Ness is forced to return to Colorado. Even though it's been six years, and the wolves of her all-male pack don't recognize her, she recognizes them. People who shun others because of their gender are hard to forget. Especially Liam Kolane - son of Heath, the crudest and cruelest Alpha to have ruled the Boulder Pack. Liam is as handsome as he is infuriating, as kind as he is punishing, and he makes Ness's traitorous heart race, which isn't good. After all, he's a Kolane. Like father like son, right? When Heath dies, Liam vies to become the new Alpha and no one dares challenge him. Except Ness. Thus begins a treacherous game. The rules: winner takes all...including loser's life. Fans of BITTEN and TWILIGHT will devour A Pack of Blood and Lies.

I thought the fight was over, but it was only just beginning. I earned my spot in my all-male pack and won over my new Alpha, Liam Kolane. Yet my place among the Boulders and at Liam’s side is compromised. First, when my cousin claims I helped him devise his Machiavellian plot against the pack. And then, when August Watt, my childhood friend turned Marine comes home. Although August’s plan was to pledge himself to his new Alpha and return to active duty, he finds himself incapable of leaving. This becomes problematic, because a mating link has clicked into place between August and me. If not consummated, the link will fade, but that’ll take months. How long and hard can I fight this physical attraction that renders my body unreceptive to anyone but my intended mate's? Tired of having to prove my worth and loyalty to my pack and Alpha, I contemplate leaving Colorado. But an enemy pack shows up on our land and challenges Liam. I have two choices: step aside and let the males fend for themselves, or step up and help them fight the newcomers. I've never stepped aside…not for anyone. Why would I start now?

Only one male can win. Volunteering to duel alongside Liam against the ruthless Creek Alpha could get me killed but leaving my hot-headed Alpha to die alone in the dueling ring isn’t an option. Not even when he places ridiculous conditions on me, like not spending time alone with my intended mate. I didn’t want a mate, but that was before August stepped back into my life, before he picked up the scattered pieces of my heart. Between our shared history and the magical tether that binds us, I find myself falling dangerously hard for the sexy shifter. But Liam’s heart is on the line. A heart that still beats for me.Only one male can win my love, the same way only one Alpha can rise from the duel. Let the fight begin...

Would have been better to have this book from Liam’s POV. Overall it was cute & predictable.
