Free Chapter:
The Present
30th of October
Day before Halloween
“Do you have any plans for Halloween????” Sean Richards asked his friend James
Cassidy.
“Not sure!!! I heard some of the richer kids are having Halloween Parties and
inviting their classmates to their houses!!! I have done this with you like every single year
now!!! This town is just boring if you ask me!!!” James Cassidy chuckled.
Both boys were high school students.
Their boring town was Summerdale.
They were having a drink at the Food Court.
At the top floor of Summerdale Mall.
Sean Richards was tall, lean and muscular with honey-blond hair and grey-blue eyes.
James was also tall and muscular, but much bulkier built than Sean. He had brown
wavy hair and hazel-colored brown eyes.
James grabbed his cola plastic cup and sipped from it.
“I know what you mean bro!!! I think you wanna do something else instead!!!” Sean
smiled.
“You can say that again!!!” James nodded.
“Hey everyone!!!!” a familiar voice called out from behind where Sean was sat.
Sean turned around. It was his girlfriend Kirsten.
Kirsten Hill.
She took the seat next to Sean and sat down.
“I got bad news!!!” Kirsten said.
“What is the bad news????” Sean was worried.
“Tomorrow my parents want me to baby-sit my small cousins!!!!” Kirsten sighed.
“So we can’t go out tomorrow then!!!” Sean didn’t like what he was hearing.
“You guys can do something together without me!!!!” Kirsten enlightened.
Kirsten was very beautiful. She was short, very pale with Gothic-like black hair and
deep set blue eyes. And she was dressed like a Goth too.
“That just sucks if you ask me!!!!” Sean was being cynical. He really wanted them to
do something together for Halloween.
“Well Kirsten I don’t want to go anymore Halloween parties around here!!!! They are
all the same and they all suck!!!!” James snorted.
Sean knew why James was behaving like this.
He didn’t have a girlfriend.
His relationship never lasted longer than a week.
And every time he tried to make out with a girl during a Halloween party, something
always went wrong and it always spoiled his night. He was just full of bad luck. Sean felt
sorry for him.
Before Sean could say another word, a girl with a hood passed by their table,
dropping a note.
And before he could say something to that girl and alerting the other two that she
dropped her note, they all heard a loud crash.

It is a street where strange things happen to people. It is called Fox Street. But kids at school call it by another name. The Witch's Street. One night Mary runs over a fox in the Witch’s Street. According to local superstitions, the foxes on that street are witches in disguise. Later on she sees that exact same fox on another street, the very same one she had just run over. Then bad things start happening around her. Free Chapter: It was a very foggy night. It was also very cold. The wind was blowing the trees, making them shake and rattle. They stood tall, frightening shapes behind a curtain of fog. It was the Fox Street Woods. Mary knew that she should not be here and let alone knew why she was out in the woods at this time. Up on the sky, she could see a tiny crescent moon. And then she started to hear the howling. Mary was frightened. She was as scared as hell. She could even hear her own heartbeat. Please let this all be just some bad dream, Mary told herself. Wishing it. She saw no one else in sight. The winds bend the grass. The fog grows thicker. Mary was looking all around her. Just the wide space of grass on the ground. Mary wanted to get out of these woods. She did not want to recall all those horror stories that she had heard or been told about this place. And then she heard it. A growl. Mary did not want to turn around but she did. Not more than seven feet away from her was a hulking monster. It stood seven feet tall. Fur as white as snow. Its fangs looked scary as it gnarled and its claws looked razor sharp. Mary was thinking about stories she had heard about the legendary Abominable Snowman. But this creature had the face and the snout of a fox. Just like a werewolf. But not a werewolf. A werefox. And it was coming for her.

One late night, Peter sneaks out of his house and goes to a bar called The Owl, to meet gorgeous ladies. As it turns out, the bar also happens to be in the Witch's Street. In The Owl, he meets Elizabeth, an attractive blonde woman in a red dress. Peter thinks he's in love with Elizabeth, but there is more to her than meets the eye. Free Chapter: “Honey, I’m off to bed!!!!” Peter’s mom calling out from her bedroom. “Ok mom!!!!” Peter responded from the kitchen downstairs. He closed the kitchen door and was going to make himself a cup of tea. As the kettle was boiling, he was thinking about the book he had just read. The book had disturbed him. And he didn’t want to believe it. The pendant he wore was pictured on the book. The antique dealer who gave it to him said that it was for good luck but that it also warded evil spirits away. The pendant saved the vampire from draining the life force of the hunter. He wore that pendant when Elizabeth kissed him. He didn’t fell asleep. She was draining him of his life force. Because she was a vampire. That was what vampires did. They fed on the life force of other people. And the pendant that he threw away slowed her down or at least weakened her. It saved his life. Inside a house that wasn’t even hers, but one she was just using because she knew that no one lived there. And she easily opened the door of that house, because she had supernatural strength. When the kettle had finished boiling, he made himself a cup of tea. He couldn’t believe what he was thinking. It was crazy. He knew that he couldn’t go to sleep right away and so went into the living room. He placed his cup down by the table in front of the couch, switched the t.v. on and then sat down by the couch. He looked at the clock by the cupboard next to the t.v. It was already nearly midnight. He just waited for the news to come on. He needed to watch and know what was going on around the world. To keep his mind off his worrying thoughts. As Peter was sipping from his cup, he was listening to what the anchorman had to say. “........he had been reported missing and never came home...” the anchorman reported. But as Peter saw the picture of the man on the t.v., his heart was beating. He dropped his cup on the floor, not fully paying attention to the sound that his dropping had made. He saw the picture of the man who was missing. He recognised who the missing man was. It was the man from The Owl. The one who was chatting with Elizabeth. Oh my God!!!, Peter thought. He was afraid. He was afraid for his life. And then the phone rang. His house had a phone, that was on top of a square table next to the couch. He picked up the phone. He wondered who would be calling his house at this time. His mom’s boyfriend? Perhaps a friend of hers? Or maybe one of his? “Hello?????” Silence. But he could hear someone breathing on the other side. “Hello?????” Peter repeated. “Peter!!!!! Is that you!!!!!” Peter recognised the voice. Elizabeth’s voice. His heart was beating. “I know it’s you Peter!!!! I can even hear your heart beating!!!!” Elizabeth said. He wasn’t sure what to do. He had to lie. “Sorry??? Who’s this????” Peter playing dumb. “Don’

A fortune teller warns Michelle, that her life is in grave danger. One day, one of her friends is going to kill her. Taking the warnings very seriously. Michelle stays on guard, trying to find out which one of her friends is out to get her.....before it's too late!!! Free Chapter: Somewhere In The Beginning Of The Year “So what’s in store for me?????” Michelle Anderson asked Madame Marie. “Let me concentrate dear,” Madame Marie was inspecting the palm of Michelle’s right hand. Michelle Anderson was a very pretty short-haired redhead, with emerald green eyes and very pale complexion. And she stood about 5 foot 5. She had often been mistaken for Scottish or Irish by many of her classmates back at Riverville High. Right now she was at a fortune teller’s, having her palm read. “Maybe I’ll have a nice big house!!! Maybe even marry someone rich!! Someone tall!! Someone handsome!! Maybe someone from Spain or Italy!!!”Michelle flattered herself with lots of wishful thoughts. Madame Marie looked very serious. She was a Jamaican lady who looked like she was in her fifties. “Oh my!! This is not good!!! Not good at all!!!” Madame Marie was worried. “Huh!!! What do you mean??” Michelle started to panic. She hated hearing bad news. Madame Marie looked from Michelle’s palm to Michelle’s worried face. “My child!!!! It was a good thing that you came to see me of all days!!!!” Marie was relieved. “What?? What do you mean??? You’re kind of scaring me!!!” Michelle cried. “Sometimes the spirits work in mysterious ways!! Perhaps it was they who will you to come see me today!!” Marie was serious. Michelle wanted to retract her hand from the fortune teller but her instincts made her felt that her life depended on what Madame Marie had to say.“So are you going to tell me what it is???” she asked. “You are in grave danger my child!!!” Marie spoke. “Danger??? What kind of danger???” Michelle had to know. “Your life is at stake!! But not to worry!! It is not today!! Not even tomorrow!!!” Marie assured. Michelle was annoyed. Not today?? Not tomorrow?? So when??, Michelle thought. Michelle wanted to cut to the chase. “Why is my life in danger???” Michelle asked. Madame Marie gazed back at her right palm. Marie even moved the tip of her right hand’s pointing finger all over the hand-lines on Michelle’s palm, normally used by spiritual experts to tell someone how long their life expectancy was or how many children they were going to have in life. Madame Marie looked back at Michelle’s very worried face. “All I can tell you is that from now on you must be on your guard!!!!” Marie cautioned. “Ok!! I’ll do that!!!” Michelle was trying to be analytical. She was on the verge of being sceptical about Madame Marie. “And one other thing!!!” Madame Marie warned. “And what is that????” Michelle asked. “Beware of who your friends are!!! Not all of them who are what they seem!!!” Madame Marie warned. “A wolf in sheep’s clothing!!!!” Her life was at stake because of who she hung out with. “Thanks!!!! I’ll remember that!!!!” Michelle said. Madame Marie then moved her fingers by Michelle’s veins, squeezing it and pulling the girl’s upper body by her right hand. Pulling Michelle much closer to her over the table.

Kim has been having nightmares every night, dreaming that she was a gypsy living under Nazi occupation, in a past life. And in her nightmares, is also a young man, whom she is not only had been a prisoner of, but also that he happened to be obsessed with her. Her nightmares seem to be true, when she sees that very same young man who had been obsessed with her, from her dreams, joining her class. It seems that the past has come back to haunt her. Free Chapter: The cellar was very cold. All she had was a blanket and a bed. But no pillow. And she had a window to look out to. She had been separated from the rest of the other women. And what was their crime for the ordeal that they had suffered. They had all been gypsies. That was their only crime. Germany and the rest of Europe had fallen under the control of the Nazis and their leader had made all Gypsies, Slavs, Jews and other ‘undesirable’ into slave labour, destined for termination. For death. As for her, it all started one terrible night. After the Nazis had taken over Prague, the Jews and Gypsies of that great city had been rounded up by the Nazi police, the Gestapo. She, like many gypsy women, had been forced into labour camps and made to do all kinds of work demanded to them by German-speaking military officers, mostly women. And they were all forced to live and sleep inside concentration camps. But not her. The Nazi officer who ran that area of Prague, kept her in a separate cell. She had been visited every single night since her imprisonment. She was very beautiful and he did not want her to die. At least not yet, she believed. Every night, he visited her cell. And she was afraid of him. He threatened her before that if she did not do what he said, he would have her entire family killed instantly. She had no choice but to become his slave. She was his personal slave. And the door cell opened. She saw him entering the cell room. He was very tall and muscular; with very pale skin, strikingly blue eyes, golden hair, broad shoulders and his face had a sharp cruel angle. The face of someone very ruthless, manipulative, cruel, aggressive, very domineering, intimidating and a typical sore loser. “Hello my beauty!!! I am in need of some comforting tonight!!!!” the German officer closing the cell door behind him. She moved her back against the wall. She was very scared of him. Of what he could do to her family here in Prague. He was way much taller than he was. “Why are you so afraid of me???? I really like you!!! I think you’re beautiful!!!” the officer walked towards her, easily slipping his arms around her waist. Their hips meet. She could tell that he was roughly the same age she was. A young man ordering the locals of the city who were much older than he was, to do what he ordered them to do. As he was about to force his lips on hers, the whole cell was vibrating. “The Allies!!!!” the young officer cursed. She just stared at him, hoping that he would let go of her waist. “They’re here,” the officer stared out the window. And then she heard a massive explosion happening all around her. The last thing she heard and saw was the entire building coming down on the two of them.
