Xbox president Sarah Bond has confirmed that development is well underway on the follow-up to the Xbox Series X. There had been rumors of late that Xbox might go third-party, after recently announcing that several first-party games will make it to PS5 and Switch. This news, plus info that leaked during the FTC v Microsoft trial confirm that Xbox will be a major player in game hardware for some time. In other news, we have some casting news on GTA 6, or rather, who isn't in the game: Troy Baker. And finally, a Persona 6 fan theory may have been confirmed.

Cancelled Batman Game Set in Nolan's Universe Revealed - IGN Daily Fix: In today's Daily Fix: Footage of a cancelled Batman game by Monolith have been uploaded to a thread on X, but this isn't some run-of-the-mill Batman game, it was set in (or at least heavily inspired by) Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, AND it used the Nemesis system. Yes, the groundbreaking NPC system from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was originally meant for a Batman game. This new Batman game would have run concurrently with the Arkham games, and Warner Bros. eventually decided to focus on the LOTR franchise, leaving Rocksteady to do their thing with Batman with what eventually would be Arkham Knight. The Nemesis system would be retooled for Shadow of Mordor, which spawned a sequel, Shadow of War. In other news, a new study has been released with data pointing to gamers preferring older games to newer ones.
