Manitas, better known as Mou, has been an essential part of Mexico's indie scene for over a decade, playing in several bands throughout her career, including cult favorites like Bam Bam and Animación Suspendida. A provocateur, talented chameleon and always eager to experiment, Mou can play an array of instruments and is perpetually dipping in and out of genres that stimulate her taste for strange and jarring aesthetics.

This is an ambitious episode as the conversation covers topics ranging from Mou's early music days and Monterrey chisme, to her journey of gender transition and her passion for illustration and comics.
