On today’s very special episode of Songmess we are bringing you a podcast crossover nearly three years in the making as the brilliant minds of Radio Menea finally join us on the show!

Veronica Bayetti Flores and Miriam Zoila Pérez met years ago while working in reproductive justice, a path of friendship and activism they are still walking today. The long time friends have always shared a bond over music, starting Radio Menea with the goal of someday being invited to the Latin Grammys. Though that dream has not yet manifested, the podcast has made a splash in the #supportbrownpodcasts family and beyond, regularly unpacking politics, sexuality, social criticism and the ways music tethers Latinxs back to our homelands.
