Episode Highlights: Make the Most of Every Day· Don’t be afraid to educate people at all levels in an organization. · Show how human you are, build relationships, people will remember you. · Ask yourself “what is the worst thing that can happen?” and seize every opportunity even if the outcome isn’t exactly what you expected. “You need to find a different way -when everyone goes right…maybe you should go left” Reach Out - Pick Up the Phone· Stand out by calling a person instead of emailing or texting. · You have to know your story, before making the call. · Send a hand-written letter as a thank you note. · If you admire someone, learn as much as you can and share your knowledge about them. It will make you unique. How to Keep Going· Try in any situation when something doesn’t go the way you think it would to “always give the best you can”. · “When you fear something…you freeze.” Look for ways to get out of an unexpected situation. · Watch and observe when the doors are going to be open. · Ask yourself-‘what have I learned?’ · Recognize even if something ends, there is a lot of good that can come out of it.
