Description

In every Book Beats episode we dance out a book! Today’s book Matisse Dance for Joy was written by Susan Goldman Rubin and the illustrations are of art by Henri Matisse! If you want to read or listen along to the full story and check out the amazing illustrations I highly recommend visiting your local library to see if they have a copy of this book. A Message for Grown-ups: All participants assume responsibility of risk of injury. Before starting an episode clear a suitable area (recommended at least 6ft x 6ft) for jumping, walking, turning, and sitting and make sure any and all sharp corners, objects, slick spots, pets, and non participants are safely outside the designated dancing space!Support the showThanks for listening! Listen.Think.Leap! is a creative movement podcast that introduces children to dance concepts, critical thinking, self regulation, body awareness and literacy skills through games and easy to follow movement instruction. At Listen.Think.Leap! we believe every child should have access to quality dance education and the tools to explore and build confidence in their creative voice through movement. We believe every child deserves the chance to engage in play based learning that doesn't happen in front of a screen. We believe every grown up should have access to worry free learning resources for their children regardless of financial or time constraints. We believe with just a little bit of space to move and an internet capable device all of these are possible to achieve. At Listen.Think.Leap! we want to make it easy to say, "Keep dancing kids!"
