Description
Adelaide Meadow (@adelaidemeadow_) is a traditional birth attendant, female physiology academic, and she owns a well woman care practice, addressing a wide variety of pelvic health concerns. In this conversation, we hear Adelaide's personal story of being in a coma and breaking her pelvis (and many other bones) from a bike accident in her 20's.
She also discusses her latest course Born Through Movement, a study of birth biomechanics, prenatal movement, and actionable ways to support the baby's pathway through the pelvis. This course helps support a woman's pelvis to create space for the baby to move in the womb and during the birth process. "A mother's tension is a baby's tension." For 10% off the course, please use the code LEA10
This conversation covers many topics including: the influence of maternal tissues on baby positioning in the womb, why epidurals help some mothers to birth vaginally, the role of fascial tissue in breastfeeding issues, and some practical advice for managing a sedentary lifestyle.
Included with the purchase of the Born Through Movement course are monthly live calls with Adelaide Meadow and Mandy Verghese, licensed midwife and prenatal bodyworker. They will lead collaborative discussions on topics such as breech, OP babies, nuchal hands, postural habits and how they impact birth patterns, licensed versus unlicensed midwifery, and how to positively impact birth outcomes through bodywork.
