Description

You know what teens today are super afraid of?  Failing.  One of the biggest things holding back teens today from even trying new things is the fear of failing.  The ability to fail and not get crushed is a critical life skill, and we need to get better at it.  That’s where our guest comes inDr. Ashley Kuchar is a former collegiate student-athlete and the founder of Fail Better Training™. As a mental performance coach, she is passionate about helping athletes (of all levels) learn how to respond to challenging situations in ways that foster resilience rather than rely on harsh criticism. During her doctoral degree, Ashley developed a resilience program called RESET. She tested the 6-session program with over 250 NCAA student-athletes and found that it supported adaptive coping, well-being, and sport performance. Ashley played basketball and softball in high school. In college, Ashley was a starting guard for the Fort Lewis College (FLC) women's basketball team and at the conclusion of her athletic career, she was awarded the Dr. Troy Bledsoe Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award.www.failbettertraining.comIf you want a speaker to come to your community, email heynate@savethekids.org OR fill out the form below.Link to speaker form@savethekidsinc@bulliesbe.goneenter BULLIES for a month free at vidangel.com or anywhere you use the serviceSupport the show

The Save the Kids Podcast is formerly known as the Collin Kartchner Podcast. Collin Kartchner was the founder of #SaveTheKids. Before his untimely passing, he presented 300-500 times per year about the negative affects of screen time, social media, gaming, and pornography on our kids and how to protect kids’ mental health. Collin was a warrior for children and we at Save The Kids are committed to continuing that message. Join our new podcast host and Save the Kids Speaker, Nate Webb as we continue the mission to Save The Kids.
