The Cats controlled play for the whole game but struggled with puck retrieval despite having the territorial advantage early on. However, the Panthers score 3 goals in 4:13 to take the lead in the 3rd. Chicago scores with 45 seconds left in regulation but Brandon Montour with the heroics scores the OT winner(a career high in goals) to send the Panthers home with 2 points. Matthew Tkachuk now has set a record for most points in a players first season with the Panthers and Sergei Bobrovsky is now 3rd in wins in Florida Panthers History.
