Description

Dr. Fanaroff is a Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine in Cleveland. He is a neonatologist as well as Director of the Rainbow Center for Pediatric Ethics at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Dr. Fanaroff earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and his medical degree from the CWRU School of Medicine, where he was elected to the AOA Medical Honor Society. During his second year of neonatology training at Rainbow, he commuted to Chicago and completed an ethics fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Fanaroff’s research interests center on ethical and legal issues in neonatology and pediatrics.  He is the immediate past Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Medical Liability and Risk Management.
