Description

Happy New Year, Lemon Drops! We are starting Season two off with a bang as the Lautners sit down with actress and Dancing with the Stars champion, Xochitl Gomez. Xochitl talks about her background that led her into acting, what it’s like to often be the youngest on set, the process of auditioning for the role of America Chavez and what it’s like to be a part of the Marvel Multiverse. She shares how she copes with the negatives that come with fame such as social media bullying and how she combats the negativity. Xochitl dives into the importance of surrounding herself with a great group of friends who she leans on whenever she needs a positive distraction and how setting healthy boundaries has helped her to worry less about things that are outside of her control. As if her acting career isn’t impressive enough, Xochitl recently brought home the Mirrorball trophy as the winner of Dancing with the Stars. We get the inside scoop on what it’s like to be on DWTS (Tay's dream!), the wonderful friendship Xochitl found in her dance partner (and former Squeeze guest) Val Chmerkovskiy, and insight into the Dancing with the Stars tour. Welcome to Season 2, Lemon Drops; we can't wait to show you what we've got in store.

When life gives you lemons, what do you do with them? Over here at The Squeeze—we talk about it—"it" being our mental health and well being. Host Taylor Lautner's (no, not that guy, but she is married to that guy) introduction to mental health was at a young age, witnessing friends and family suffer in ways she couldn't fully understand. She started a nursing career in the peak of the pandemic and has been struggling with her own mental health ever since. Tay is joined co-host, husband Taylor Lautner, in addition to celebrity and expert guests to further the conversation surrounding mental wellness. At the end of the day, we're all pretty similar; even those living in the lime-est of lights can be weighed down by sour lemons. In addition to sharing coping strategies and stories, we hope that above all, this podcast offers the comfort of knowing you are not alone.
