Joe & Joe Weather Show this Thursday Major Hurricane Teddy winds of 140 mph Category 4 is heading northwestward from the Tropical Atlantic and will likely pass close to Bermuda Sunday night into Monday. Then it will continue northward and Nova Scotia could be the next stop after Bermuda. Meanwhile the remnants of Hurricane Sally are bringing heavy rain from the Southeast to the Southern Mid Atlantic but they should pass just south of Southern New England tonight and Friday. Very cool Autumn air arrives later Friday and lasts into next week in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states. Wildfire smoke continues to cover much of the US. Cooler temperatures are helping right now but heat is likely to return . Some rain is possible in the Northwest over the next 7 days which will also be helpful but in the meantime the smoke is filtering much of the sunshine.
