Her co-host son, Joel, is just trying to survive life as a father of three, husband, parental caretaker, and TV news correspondent. Each week, join this dysfunctionally dynamic mother-son duo as the two take a light look at all sorts of stories of survival, from surviving a son's murder to life as a CIA agent to the fame and fast fortune that come with being a hip-hop legend.
