Nadruku was one of the best 25 players in  the Raiders' 25-year anniversary after scoring 96 tries in 143 NRL  games. In boxing – Gerrie Coetzee, the former WBA World Heavyweight Champion passed away yesterday from cancer at the age of 67. Coetzee won the title with a 10th-round knockout of Michael Dokes in the US in 1985. More  importantly, at the height of apartheid in South Africa, Coetzee was a  vocal opponent of the racist policies of his county, even adopting an  orphaned black boy. Rest in Peace Coetzee. In football – Manchester City star, Benjamin Mendy has been cleared of sex attacks on four women, and  jurors failed to reach verdicts on two others, following a six-month  trial in Chester. The Judge discharged the jury yesterday, ending the trial. Prosecutors may re-trial two cases. Only in the US – a signed Kobe Bryant MVP season jersey is set to be sold at auction by  Sotheby’s for US$7Million. Bryant wore the jersey in 25 games of the  2007/2008 NBA season, scoring 645 points over eight months. The  NBA superstar also averaged 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.4 assists  per game, guiding the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA Finals — ultimately  losing to the Boston Celtics.
