The Big 12 conference has experienced a tumultuous journey, teetering on the brink of extinction, finding stability, and then facing uncertainty once more.

Remarkably, the tables have turned, and now it is the Big 12 that holds a position of power, while the Pac-12 faces potential destruction. Recently, the Pac-12 commissioner, George Kliavkoff, presented the schools with a media contract offer from Apple, centered mostly around streaming, with a few games broadcasted through traditional networks, heavily reliant on subscriptions. Unfortunately, this was not the news that Pac-12 schools had hoped for, and some, like Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah, are now deliberating their next moves.
