Pete Rose has done exactly the opposite of what he has needed to do to be reinstated for several decades now. He would LIKE to be in the Hall of Fame but he would much rather make money off of being Pete Rose.
Nobody under the age of 45 years old has a concrete memory of Pete playing but still he remains in the news decades after his suspension began.
The second he is in Cooperstown, his relevance, would end and he would no longer be able to cash in on his martyrdom.
Meanwhile the flopping Cardinals should NOT allow John Mozeliak to be in charge of their rebuild.
