We kick off Season Three with the question of, "Can Special Interest and Public Interest Go Hand in Hand?"  In this episode we hear from Nate Smith the Vice President of Engagement for the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).
Smith oversees the Association’s member engagement, recruitment, and retention strategy as well as manages ATSSA’s Washington, DC legislative office focusing on federal, state and grassroots advocacy, government relations-related communications, advocacy strategy, and serves as Treasurer of the association’s political action committee, ATSSA PAC.
Active with the American Society of Association Executives, Smith serves as chair of the ASAE Political Action Committee and past chair of the ASAE Public Policy Committee. Smith was also honored as a 2020 Leading Association Lobbyist by Association TRENDS.
