Description
Imagine growing up playing every sport under the sun and excelling at them all. From track to volleyball and everything in between…except one. Football. Just a few years ago playing football was socially unacceptable for a young woman in Dallas, Texas. Throwing the ball around the yard was fine but playing tackle football on a field? Out of the question.
Marissa Lopez, 26-year-old LFL tackle football player, spent her youth not only admiring the sport and it’s superhero-like players but the game itself, which was for her, like most Dallas residents, more than a game...it was a religion.
But what happens when you’re faced with an opportunity to make your forbidden dream a reality by trying out for the Legends LA based all female tackle pro football team? Do you honor your hometown traditions and play it safe? Or do you head to Los Angeles trying not only to change your life but those of other young girls who are in search of their own real-life superheros?
