“Stress happens. Anxiety happens.” In this episode, Andie and Angie talk about Mom Anxiety (or what they call Momxiety)! There are three types of Mom Anxiety. Some of the things that can cause Mom Anxiety include hormonal changes, lack of sleep, fear for your child's safety, and financial stress. Remember that life is life. Part of being a mom is worrying, but when the worry becomes excessive, starts to affect your mood, and/or gets in the way of your everyday life, then that’s when worry has crossed the line and becomes anxiety. Angie talks about a time she had to be hyperaware when her daughter had health issues. Going for long walks helped her deal with the stress of the situation. Andie and Angie discuss other strategies to help with anxiety including journaling, positive self-talk, deep breathing, coloring, and of course watching Bob Ross. Sometimes being aware of the stress, and how you’re feeling, can help you cope with anxiety. At the end of the episode Andie and Angie laugh hysterically as Angie explains how she tried to make her compression socks look super cool when she was pregnant.
