Description
As Tyrone Layson has learned through his career as a public health professional, medical students are their own population group and they come with a unique set of public health related issues. As the Assistant Director of Student Affairs for the College of Medicine at the University of Toledo (where he is also pursuing his doctorate in health education), this is the population group that Tyrone is currently most passionate about. During this episode, Tyrone shares what motivated him to change his educational track from medicine to epidemiology and public health, the variety of roles he has held since graduating (including pharmacy technician and curriculum coordinator), and how his background benefits his day-to-day work. Tyrone also shares a key piece of advice for anyone interested in a career path similar to his own! PHEC Podcast Show Notes: https://www.drchhuntley.com/podcast
