Professor Jason Osder visits The Context of White Supremacy. Professor Osder is a Documentary film maker and Assistant Professor in the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University in the nation's capitol. He's a long-time media educator, producer, and instructional author with a background in documentary, social sciences, and education theory. Professor Osder joined the faculty of the School of Media and Public Affairs in January 2007 to teach Introduction to Digital Media. We'll examine his 2013 award-winning film, LET THE FIRE BURN - which explores the 1985 bombing of the MOVE headquarters in Philadelphia. We'll discuss what motivated him to produce this film and what it reveals about Racism (White Supremacy). Listeners should keep in mind the recent events in the Nevada dessert involving Cliven Bundy and his heavily armed, White militia.
