Description

Eve Rodsky helped start a long overdue national conversation around equality of labor and time on the home front. Eventually, she realized that even when the domestic workload becomes more equitable, people still say something is missing in their lives and that something is personal creativity.   Rodsky calls this missing piece “Unicorn Space” — and defines it as the active and open pursuit of creative self-expression in any form that is fulfilling. She helps readers embrace all the unlikely, surprising, and delightful places where their own Unicorn Space may be found and says creativity is not optional. It’s essential. She talks to us about manifesting our own Unicorn Space in a too-busy life.Eve Rodsky received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She worked at J.P. Morgan and then created the Philanthropy Advisory Group to advise families and charitable foundations on best practices. Rodsky was raised by a single mom in New York City and now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.Eve RodskyTwitter: twitter.com/eve_rodskyInstagram: instagram.com/everodskyYou can follow Jessica Yellin here:Instagram: instagram.com/jessicayellinFacebook: facebook.com/newsnotnoiseTwitter: twitter.com/jessicayellinWebsite: NewsNotNoise.comNewsletter: newsnotnoise.bulletin.comSupport this work:patreon.com/NewsNotNoiseJessica Yellin is the founder of News Not Noise, a channel dedicated to giving you news with real experts and providing information, not a panic attack. I’m Jessica Yellin, the founder of News Not Noise. For years, I worked in network news at ABC, MSNBC, and CNN, where I was the Chief White House Correspondent. I’ve reported from around the world and won awards. The more years I got under my belt as a reporter, the more I became convinced that the news doesn't speak to a large part of the audience. In the summer of 2018, I did something different. The midterm elections were approaching and friends asked me to explain what the heck was happening in the political cycle. So, I picked up my phone and began posting short, daily explainer videos on Instagram. What started with me and a ring light is now a small team, dedicated to giving you news in a different voice. We aim to provide facts, not panic attacks. We interview real experts — not pundits. My goal is to provide the understanding you need to engage in the conversation and take action in the world.
