Episode 1 Quotable moments:
5:56: “My family falls apart, I get diagnosed with a terminal illness, and I lose my business and end up homeless on my brother-in-law's sofa as a single mom in a 16-week span. And I got down on my knees and I said, God if you will show me the way I will do the work.”
11:53: “And I looked in the mirror and I took a hundred percent responsibility because I gave myself MS. I got myself into that situation. I, you know, love, love, love with all my heart, my ex-husband. I wouldn’t have a cell in my body that blames him for anything but I took myself to that situation.”
17:20: “The root of all anger is disappointment. And then I challenge myself with that athletic mindset. Like, oh, okay, how can I shorten this to, I'm just gonna be like having the wall-kicking moment for a day. Or can I shorten it to an hour? Can I shorten it to five minutes? And then what? Who do I need to be to say, okay, this happened. I'm over it. I'm moving on.”
19:03: “No one can take away our ability to feel grateful. No one can take away our ability to feel faith. We can only give those things away and we can trade down for less value, but we're never going to live into our own value if we're always trading down.”

That’s what high performance is to me, the ability to adapt rapidly so you can achieve your potential. There are five key pillars to creating the conditions for adaptability: sleep, exercise, mental resilience, nutrition, and community/relationships.” - Dr Erik Korem   “I maybe have a different concept on leadership. To me, leading is a verb. If you’re leading, you’re a leader. If you’re swimming you’re a swimmer, if you’re driving you’re a driver. If you’re leading you’re by definition a leader. I define leading as being looked to in a particular moment to make a decision or perform an action based on your unique gifts and abilities. So by that definition, everybody is a leader. All rank and role really describe is how many people are hoping you get it right when it’s your turn to wear the weight.” - Clint Bruce
