Description

Lisa is joined by Jacob Teitelbaum, MD (aka Dr. T) to talk about  how he uses his S.H.I.N.E.® Protocol is to treat Long-Hauler Covid.  One of the people he is treating using his protocol is  Tammy Krotz who joins us in this episode to share her story of Covid and Long Hauler Covid Syndrome and how great the S.H.I.N.E.® Protocol is working. Tammy Krotz, 57, from Hiawatha, Iowa, came down with COVID in June 2020 after attending an outdoor concert with a friend. She was not hospitalized and had a relatively mild case, feeling “almost back to normal” around August 1st. Then the bottom dropped out.Usually a high-energy, no-off-switch special ed teacher, suddenly she was paralyzed by aches, pains and disabling fatigue that wouldn’t go away. “It felt like I got hit by a semi,” says Tammy. “I could hardly walk across the room and riding my bike—something I did every day, often for 30 miles after work—was out of the question!” With each new day her energy receded and at the low point she thought she may never recover, be permanently disabled, or even die.Welcome to the horrible new reality of long-hauler syndrome following COVID-19. Doctors at the University of Iowa told her that she no longer had COVID but was now suffering from postviral Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. While they had no therapy to offer, they suggested that she see a therapist to modify her expectations about what might be possible in her new restricted life. Fortunately, Tammy saw an online interview during a Fatigue Super Conference with energy specialist, board certified internist Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, author of From Fatigued to Fantastic!(Avery/Penguin, 4th revised edition June 15). She began his SHINE treatment protocol in April 2021 and was finally able to sleep again. Eventually, with a regimen of dietary supplements, hormones, and a unique European di-peptide and tri-peptide formula, the overwhelming brain fog started to lift. “Now I feel like a 6 or 7 out of 10—where a few months ago I was a 1 or 2.” Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D., is one of the most frequently quoted integrative medical authorities in the world. In addition to From Fatigued to Fantastic!, he is the author of ten books, including Pain Free 1,2,3; The Complete Guide to Beating Sugar Addiction; Real Cause, Real Cure; The Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Solution; and Diabetes Is Optional, and the creator of the popular free smartphone app Cures A-Z. He is the lead author of multiple studies on effective treatment for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Dr. Teitelbaum appears often as a guest on news and talk shows nationwide, including Good Morning America and The Dr. Oz Show, as well as on CNN and FoxNewsHealth.
