Description

This chant, Mahāmrityunjaya Mantra, महामृत्युंजय मंत्र or महामृत्युञ्जय मन्त्र, also known as the Rudra Mantra or Tryambakam Mantra, is a verse (sūkta) of the Rigveda (RV 7.59.12). The sūkta is addressed to Tryambaka, "The Three-eyed One", an epithet of Rudra who is identified with Shiva in Shaivism. The verse also recurs in the Yajurveda (TS 1.8.6.i; VS 3.60).
One of my favorite mantras to chant, this is often misunderstood to be a mantra for physical immortality.  It is in essence a mantra for the realization of what actually IS immortal, and how you are that beyond name and form.
Due to the support of our Kriya Yoga Apprenticeship Students and our Kriya Yoga Patreon Community, I've been able to spend some time recording this sacred music.
It is my intention that you will be able to listen and chant along with this music before your own meditation practices, to help you move more fully into the process. This chant can also be played at the beginning of each day, to remember what is true.
