An associate professor at the University of Iowa's School of Journalism and Communication, Dr. Oates's research interests include: sports coverage within magazines, newspapers, websites, video games, and videos. We'll discuss the Racist controversy surrounding this past week's NCAA Women's National Championship Game between Louisiana State University and the University of Iowa. The most watched game in women's college basketball history featured a starting White 5 against a starting black 5. When the LSU team of black ladies triumphed and trash-talked the losing White Women of Iowa... all manner of White Supremacy broke lose.
