For the Colorado Avalanche it was simple. Win against the San Jose Sharks and your ticket for the post season is punched. It ended up being more difficult than expected, but the Avalanche managed to come away with a 4-3 win in OT to clinch their spot in the NHL playoffs.

The winning goal, scored by Nathan MacKinnon, was a milestone one for the superstar. Nate's previous career high in points was 99, but he can now join the 100 club.
