Season 1: Old Favorite Fairy TalesThe very first fairy tale printed in English! Tom Thumb is a boy no bigger than a thumb, and he gets into lots of adventures including almost drowning in pudding, being swallowed by a cow and a fish! And becoming friends with King Arthur! The lesson of the story is "don't be a smart boy" - meaning if you think you are so smart you will be able to get away with doing the wrong thing, then you are in for a world of trouble.  The Junior Classics is a rescue operation to preserve the wisdom in the Classics before it is lost forever. Our goal is to inspire children with a love of good reading and a real and lasting interest in Western history, literature, and scholarship. My hope is to empower you, the parents, with a resource you can trust to enrich your child’s mind and spirit. We don’t want these stories lost so our children don’t have to learn these lessons on their own.The most important thing you can do for us is to spread the message and tell others about these stories and what we are doing.
