Description
Mady is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist working in private practice in Los Angeles. She specializes in working with neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan and Neurodiverse couples. She also is an adjunct professor of pyschology at Azusa Pacific University, in their MA Counseling program. She is passionate about helping clinicians develop neurodivergent affirming care, and helping institutions develop neurodivergent affirming practices. Mady was brought to the field of pscyhology by her own experiences of mental illness within her family growing up. Her experience of having a parent that struggled with mental health provided her with insight about the need for mental health service in communities that are under serviced within the field of mental health care. Mady is a mental health advocate and passionate about suicide awareness. She lost her mother to suicide at 17 years old, and this has informed her work with other survivors of suicide.
